Current Grants

2024 Professional Development Grant

Unlock your potential with the BCSCA's 2024 Professional Development Grant! We’re excited to award six separate $500 grants to registered coaches, aimed at fostering swim coach development and innovative learning from October 1st, 2024, to December 11th, 2024. Get creative and enhance your coaching journey!

Grant Details:

  • Award Amount: $500.00 per coach
  • Application Period: October 1st, 2024 – December 11th, 2024
  • Selection Process: Applications will be reviewed by the BCSCA board in the order they are received. Once all six grants are awarded, no further applications will be accepted.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Be a registered member of the BCSCA in good standing for the 2023-24 swim season.
  • Submit a written email detailing how the grant funds will be used and the impact on coaching or club programming.

Acceptable Uses of the Grant:

  • Travel to visit other coaches
  • Hosting individuals at your home club
  • Engaging in online learning (e.g., technology, HR courses, communications)

Grant Requirements:

  • Provide a receipt and a reflection report to the BCSCA after grant usage.
  • Submit a brief reflection report within one month of completing the grant activity. These reports will be shared on the BCSCA website for others to learn from.
  • Note: Grants for NCCP courses will NOT be approved.
  • Use grant funds prior to August 31st, 2025.
